Actor Lubomir Paulovic Dies Aged 71

Bratislava, August 15 (TASR) - Actor and director Lubomir Paulovic has died at the age of 71, his partner Lolla Fukari has announced on a social network.
Paulovic was born on November 7, 1952 in the village of Prasice (Nitra region). After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, he began acting at the SNP Theatre in Martin (Zilina region). In 1984, he became a member of the Slovak National Theatre (SND). He left it in 1996, after resigning from the post of the SND Drama Stage director.
He was the artistic head and director of the Jozef Gregor Tajovsky Theatre in Zvolen (Banska Bystrica region) in 1997-1998 and 2001-2002. He later rejoined the SND Drama Stage as a member.
He played dozens of characters in the theatre and starred in more than 150 television productions and some 45 feature films. He was best known for his role in cult movie Pasla kone na betone (She Pastured Horses on Concrete). He directed several theatre plays and musicals.
Paulovic was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Literary Fund in 2017.
