Bratislava, August 2 (TASR) - The Defence Ministry hasn't yet received any official price offer from the USA for the supply of 12 Viper attack helicopters, TASR learnt from the ministry on Friday. Once received, it will comment on any offer in due time, claimed the ministry's press department. "The Defence Ministry has noted that the Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has informed the US Congress of its plan to submit a quote for the supply of 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters to Slovakia in the near future," said the ministry. The ministry asked the US government for a quote last summer. It was supposed to be an offer with a significant discount as compensation for the MiG-29 fighter jets that Slovakia donated to Ukraine. The US Department of State has approved the potential sale of the attack helicopters and related equipment to Slovakia for an estimated price of $600 million (€554 million). The Pentagon announced the deal this week. zel/df
