NSS: Judge Monika Geciova Debenched for Hearing Case While Intoxicated

Bratislava, June 27 (TASR) - An appellate disciplinary senate of the Supreme Administrative Court (NSS) debenched judge Monika Geciova over the fact that she presided over a trial under the influence of alcohol, it follows from an NSS post released on its website on Thursday. The disciplinary motion was filed by the chair of Kosice Regional Court, with the judge subsequently suspended in October 2022 by the NSS' disciplinary senate. According to its decision, by carrying out her duties in her work hours under the influence of alcohol, the judge committed a serious disciplinary offence "incompatible with the position of judge". Geciova subsequently appealed against the decision to the appellate senate. mf
