With regard to Moldova's EU accession efforts, Ziga praised the country's progress in implementing necessary reforms, adding that Slovakia is ready to continue sharing its experience with the process. The minister also underlined the importance of economic cooperation with Moldova, pointing to the turnover of mutual trade, which, according to him, reached almost €120 million last year. At the same time, the Moldovan minister expressed interest in investing in industry in Slovakia.
The meeting also touched upon on the conflict between Transnistria and Moldova. Ziga confirmed that Slovakia supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Moldova, expressing his conviction that the conflict should be resolved peacefully.
