SHMU: Second-degree Thunderstorm Alert in Eastern Slovakia on Friday

Bratislava, May 24 (TASR) - The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) on Friday raised its thunderstorm alerts for the majority of Kosice region and Presov district from the first to second degree. Meanwhile, first-degree alerts have been issued for the rest of the country. Thunderstorms in eastern Slovakia can be accompanied by downpours and hail, the office warned, adding that several areas across the country can be hit by floods on Friday. zel
