Bratislava, May 23 (TASR) - The Culture Ministry appointed members of evaluation commissions, due to assess projects applying for subsidies under the Let's Restore Our House programme, TASR learnt from ministry's press department head Petra Bacinska on Thursday. "Our goal is to ensure transparent and fair assessment of all applications. That's why we appointed members of the evaluation commissions and published their fields of expertise but not their names, so as to prevent any potential influencing. With this step, we'd like to bolster the public confidence in the process and make sure that each project is going to be assessed objectively and with the highest possible level of expertise," claimed Culture Minister Martina Simkovicova (SNS nominee). A total of €9 million is allocated to the programme this year, with the commissions slated to assess more than 992 project applications. Let's Restore Our House is a subsidy programme aimed at supporting the restoration of cultural heritage, secular and church historical buildings as well as parks and architectural areas. mf/mcs
