23. mája 2024 16:58
Bratislava, May 23 (TASR) - Criminal prosecution in the hunter cabin case over charges of poaching continues, with two individuals facing charges, TASR learnt from Trencin Regional Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Marian Sipavy on Thursday. "The pre-trial proceedings in the given criminal case are not complete yet, with the police investigator carrying out procedural steps under the Penal Code. Individuals L.J. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons] and M.M. are indicted as defendants," said the spokesperson. The hunter cabin case made headlines over police surveillance videos leaked to public in 2021, in which Smer-SD political leaders Robert Fico and Robert Kalinak discussed various criminal cases at the cabin with attorney Marek Para, Pavol Gaspar and entrepreneur Miroslav Bodor. An investigator of the Internal Affairs Inspectorate proposed to press charges of misuse of public official's powers against police officer M.J. over the surveillance video leak. mf
