MPs Start Another Week of 12th Session, Set to Vote on Several Bills

7. mája 2024 10:55
Bratislava, May 7 (TASR) - Lawmakers returned to Parliament on Tuesday morning following the weekend break and started the session with a motion from MP Veronika Remisova ('Slovakia', 'For the People', 'KU' caucus) condemning "the scandalous behaviour of Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), who in an extremely inappropriate and aggressive manner humiliated civil servants and degraded the level of public debate". Remisova filed the motion back in December 2023, claiming that Fico crossed all red lines of normal behaviour with his remarks about the Office for Regulation of Network Industries chairman and his colleagues. The MP said that by describing the officials as terrorists whom he would "strangle", Fico "completely disparaged the office of prime minister". Parliament is due to vote on a number of bills on Tuesday morning. In the afternoon, MPs have three proposals from the Health Ministry on their agenda. am/df
