Velka Lomnica, May 6 (TASR) - Police pressed charges against a man of Velka Lomnica village (Presov region), who was caught driving drunk and without a driver's license, Presov regional police spokesperson Jana Ligdayova reported on Monday. Ligdayova detailed that the man crashed the car in his home village on Sunday (May 5) afternoon. While taking the car round a bend in the road, the 32-year-old man lost control of the steering and crashed on the bank of a brook. "Fortunately, neither the driver nor his passenger suffered any injuries," added the spokesperson. Once a police patrol arrived, the man submitted to and failed a breathalyser test, with almost 2.8 per mille of alcohol on his breath. It also turned out that the man lacked any documents required to drive the car. The irresponsible driver was taken into police custody and charged with public endangerment under influence. mf/mcs
