Police Launch Criminal Investigation into Glider Crash in Martin

Martin, May 5 (TASR) - The police launched a criminal investigation into the crash of a glider in the town of Martin (Zilina region) on Saturday (May 4), Zilina regional police spokesperson Gabriela Kremenova told TASR on Sunday. She added that a 62-year-old man died in the accident. An investigator launched a criminal prosecution in connection with the offenses of homicide, general threat and damaging and endangering the operation of a public facility. "Circumstances and causes of the crash of the engineless aircraft are under investigation," said Kremenova. The glider accident took place in the cadastre of the town of Martin. Firefighters specified that the plane fell on a transformer station. It caught fire after the crash. All emergency services were helping at the scene of the accident. ko
