Bratislava, April 26 (TASR) - Six representatives of the judiciary have proposed Marcela Kosova for the post of Judicial Council chair, council members Dana Jelinkova Dudzikova and Ayse Pruzinec Eren have told TASR, adding that they've suggested May 14 as the date of the election. "We believe that there must be a person at the helm of the Judicial Council who will restore its apolitical character," said the judges. The proposal was submitted on April 25 by six judges serving at the Kosice, Presov and Bratislava regional courts, the Bratislava-based Administrative Court and the Supreme Court. Members of the Judicial Council dismissed Jan Mazak from the post of chair at a council session on April 16. However, he's still a member of the body. Ten council members voted for his dismissal, two refrained from voting, nobody was against and four didn't vote. A minimum of ten votes was required for dismissal. The Judicial Council is currently being headed by its vice-chair Jan Gandzala on a temporary basis. ko/df
