Bratislava, April 24 (TASR) - Farmers can obtain an interest-free loan of up to €100,000 to bridge the period until they receive delayed direct payments, said Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) following the cabinet meeting in Dolna Krupa (Trnava region) on Wednesday. "Farmers who feel threatened because direct payments have been postponed will be able to receive an interest-free loan from the Slovak Guarantee and Development Bank of up to a maximum of €100,000. This is 70 percent of the direct payment that would otherwise be due to them. I think this is a big help," he stressed. am/df
