Bratislava, April 24 (TASR) - Another away-from-home session of the government, which is set to take place in the village of Dolna Krupa near Trnava on Wednesday, is scheduled to deal mainly with the situation faced by Slovak farmers, the Government Office's press department has told TASR, adding that the venue of the cabinet meeting will be the premises of the Agricultural Cooperative in Dolna Krupa. The Environment Ministry has submitted for discussion a draft law aimed at simplifying the procedure for felling trees, to remove an unnecessary bureaucratic burden on the population and shortcomings that arise in practice. This is intended to make the landscape more transparent, which the ministry sees as an important preventive measure for reducing dangerous encounters between people and bears. Among the economic items on the agenda, the government will also deal with Slovakia's Stability Programme for 2024-2027. In the next few years the cabinet expects the economy to grow at an average of slightly above 2 percent per year, approximately at the level of its medium-term potential. The agenda of the 29th government meeting also includes a proposal to approve expenditures related to the costs incurred by municipalities from emergencies that arose last autumn during a mass influx of illegal immigrants into Slovakia. Local governments in the districts of Banska Bystrica, Bratislava, Presov and Velky Krtis (Banska Bystrica region) should be reimbursed to the tune of €96,342. am/df
