Bratislava, April 19 (TASR) - The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party is set to file a motion to dismiss head of the parliamentary agriculture and environment committee Rudolf Huliak (Slovak National Party/SNS), SaS MP Alojz Hlina reported on Friday. Hlina explained that one of the reasons for the motion is that Huliak, according to a recent video that has appeared on social networks, smoked inside the parliament building, considered to be public premises, which is against the law on the protection of non-smokers. The SaS MP at the same time lambasted the manner in which Huliak manages sessions of the committee. "He's obstructing and thwarting its sessions, rendering the committee dysfunctional and inquorate. The committee isn't taking any action or decisions," claimed Hlina, adding that the committee has failed to launch its sessions on several occasions due to a failure to meet the quorum, and when sessions were launched successfully they resembled sessions of "pigeon keepers and card players". The 'Slovakia' party will also support the motion to dismiss Huliak. "Unfortunately, the repeated experience of limiting discussion during open committee meetings leads us to support the motion to oust him. When we add to this the unscrupulous ways and the lowering of the committee's credibility through various personal excesses, there's nothing to hesitate over," said committee member Rastislav Kratky, adding that Huliak's non-appointment as environment minister proved to be correct. zel/mcs/am
