Slovakia and Italy Could Conclude Agreement on Police Cooperation

Bratislava, April 19 (TASR) - The Interior Ministry has submitted a draft agreement proposing police cooperation with Italy for inter-ministerial comments proceedings, TASR learnt on Friday. The agreement deals with cooperation in the area of preventing and combating crime. The cooperation would include the exchange of information, for instance, on individuals on the run and various types of crime. It would also involve joint study, research and analysis of legislative instruments in the field of drug trafficking, as well as the exchange of best practices in monitoring criminal infiltration into companies involved in public contracts and tenders. The two countries could also take joint operational measures and form joint teams to identify victims of mass disasters. zel/mcs
