Bratislava, April 17 (TASR) - The case of the murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova won't be jeopardised by the announced departure of supervising prosecutors Matus Harkabus and Daniel Mikulas from the Prosecutor-General's Office, Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) assured the public on Wednesday. "There's enough competent prosecutors from regional offices and the Prosecutor-General's Office who will be able to supervise these files," Susko said. The minister noted that the Prosecutor-General's Office has left cases with completed preliminary proceedings to former prosecutors of the Special Prosecutor's Office. "It's a very interesting situation when they themselves, who wanted to supervise these cases, are now getting rid of them," he added. Daily Dennik N has reported that the two prosecutors have resigned and will leave the Prosecutor-General's Office on June 30. Previously, they operated at the Special Prosecutor's Office, which has been scrapped in the meantime. The PG's Office refused to comment on the matter, stating that it won't address personnel matters via the media. zel/mcs
