Bratislava, April 17 (TASR) - Members of the government and chairpersons of other central state administration bodies have until April 30 to submit to the head of the Government Office proposals for the rationalisation of employment relations, according to the proposal approved by the government on Wednesday. "The purpose of the proposed government resolution is to ascertain the actual number of employees fulfilling tasks in individual central government bodies," states the presentation report to the approved document. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) wants to get an overview of the number of employees performing tasks in individual central state administration bodies. This should enable the adoption of measures to streamline and rationalise the number of employees in the central state administration. The possible reduction of the number of civil servants by up to a third was announced by Fico last week following a meeting with Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenicky (Smer-SD) as one of the options for consolidating public finances. am/mcs
