Bratislava, April 15 (TASR) - Non-parliamentary 'Democrats' party submitted a complaint with the Prosecutor-General's Office over the violation of the National Parks Reform Act by the Agriculture Ministry and the Environment Ministry, as the ministers have failed to secure the signing of the so-called delimitation protocols within a lawful deadline, TASR learnt from party spokesperson Martina Kakascikova on Monday.
"The delimitation protocols are supposed to regulate the transfer of state land plots in the Velka Fatra and Slovensky Kras National Parks from the Slovak Forests to administrations of the national parks. This concerns almost 22,000 hectares of land," explained former Environment Minister State Secretary Michal Kica.
The Environment Ministry rejected any notion of inaction regarding the delimitation of land in the Velka Fatra and Slovensky Kras National Parks. According to Environment Minister Tomas Taraba (SNS nominee), the ministry has met its legal obligations by calling on the Agriculture Ministry to transfer the ownership rights and is currently waiting for the process to be carried out.
