Bratislava, April 9 (TASR) - The activity of state-owned company Slovensko IT will be terminated as it didn't fulfil state contracts and didn't generate profit, Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation Minister Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) said at a press conference on Tuesday, adding that since it was set up, it has made an accumulated loss of more than €7 million. "During the whole time of its existence, business company Slovensko IT hasn't managed to develop relevant know-how or an organisational structure so that it would be beneficial for the state and would be able to generate profits. Or at least to be able not to generate a loss, as joint stock companies have to do," said Rasi. The minister also noted that the company hadn't kept accounts since last summer. "So far, the company doesn't have proper financial statements because since the new management took over, it has been working to make sure that it has no proper financial statements at all," he said, adding that the exact amount of the loss is therefore uncertain. However, Rasi explained that the company made a loss of more than €2.8 million last year and the cumulative loss since its inception is €7 million. am/mcs
