Sutaj Estok to Propose Solak As Permanent Police Chief

(Markiza, Na telo, November 21) Speaking on television channel Markiza's politics show 'Tough Questions' on Tuesday, Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) said that he'll propose Lubomir Solak as permanent Police Corps president. Solak is currently holding the post on a temporary basis. "I'll contact the chairman of the parliamentary defence and security committee to give me a date for convening the committee, where he'll undergo a proper hearing," said the minister, adding that he'd like the hearing to take place as soon as possible. am/mcs
