Bratislava, November 21 (TASR) - Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) intends to pass necessary changes by the end of the year and start 2024 with an approved state budget and other goals from the government manifesto, TASR learnt from his post on a social network on Tuesday. In a video, Fico thanked the lawmakers who had granted confidence to his government earlier in the day. "This is my fourth government. I know exactly what awaits us and I don't plan to complain," said Fico. He declared an aspiration to meet the slogan of the manifesto, which is to help people live better, more peaceful and secure lives. Fico stated that the postponement of the early election until the end of September means that the new governing coalition has only four weeks to pass key decisions, such as assistance with mortgages and 13th pensions. mf/df
