Health Ministry to Scrap Directive Aimed at Simplifying Sex Changes

Bratislava, November 21 (TASR) - The Health Ministry will scrap a directive that was supposed to simplify the process of sex changes for transgender people at the request of a coalition partner - the Slovak National Party (SNS), TASR learnt from the ministry's press department on Tuesday. "At the request of a coalition partner, SNS, the Health Ministry will scrap the directive aimed at simplifying the provision of health care regarding sex changes," stated the ministry, adding that this measure has been taken in the interests of ensuring the stability of the governing coalition. mf/df
