OLANO Files Criminal Complaint Against Jaroslav Hascak

Bratislava, September 26 (TASR) - OLANO party filed a criminal complaint against Penta group financier Jaroslav Hascak over suspicion of bribery, OLANO leader Igor Matovic announced on Tuesday.
The suspicion stems from alleged leaked 2020 chats between ex-economy minister Richard Sulik (SaS) and Hascak. "He (Hascak) bribes politicians to pursue his own personal gains," stated Matovic, who is convinced that it's in the public interest to have the law enforcement look into the case.
On Sunday (September 24), Matovic released an excerpt of an alleged chat, dated from the autumn 2020, between Sulik and Hascak. In it, Hascak furnished Sulik with instructions on what arguments to use regarding the financing of health insurance companies. Sulik refused to comment on the case and pointed out that neither he nor SaS have any corruption scandals. Hascak, on the other hand, expects the police to start investigating the person who allegedly provided the contents of the chat to Matovic while asking for one million euros in exchange and take action against Matovic for his failure to report a crime.
