OLANO Hopes Investigation into 'Virus' Case Will Be Completed Successfully

Bratislava, September 19 (TASR) - OLANO party hopes that the investigation into the 'Virus' case, concerning suspicions of overpriced tenders in the Military Intelligence, will be completed to a successful end, former defence minister Lubomir Galko (2010-11), who is running in the election on the OLANO party slate, declared at a press conference on Tuesday. "All that's left to say is that we hope the case will be completed to the very end successfully," said Galko, who praised the work of the National Criminal Agency (NAKA). According to Galko, it is an operation of an unprecedented scope. MP and ex-interior minister Roman Mikulec (OLANO/2020-23) emphasised the connections between the indicted heads of the Military Intelligence Jan B. and Lubomir S. [names abbreviated due to legal reasons] and ex-interior minister Robert Kalinak (2006-10, 2012-18). "I'd be quite glad if we didn't forget that history," he added. As part of an operation nicknamed Virus, NAKA indicted 16 individuals and two legal entities, including former Military Intelligence heads Lubomir S. and Jan B. [names abbreviated due to legal reasons].
