Brussels/Luxembourg, April 24 (TASR-correspondent) - Russian aggression against Ukraine and implementation of the EU's action plan to mitigate its impacts on third countries were high on the agenda of the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on Monday, TASR has learnt from interim Foreign Affairs Minister Rastislav Kacer. EU diplomats spoke via video conference to Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who called on the Union to persist in its military aid to Ukraine. According to Kacer, partners from the EU agreed on the need to continue all-round support for Ukraine, especially with regard to the expected spring offensive. "We have an agreement on the supply of ammunition that we have in stock and on joint purchases. Ukraine needs enough heavy military equipment and, above all, ammunition. "We need to implement the political agreement from last month on its joint purchase and financing as quickly as possible," stated Kacer. He noted that Slovakia has the capacity to produce 155-mm artillery ammunition, which the Ukrainians need. Kacer along with his Polish counterpart encouraged the remaining EU member states to follow the suit of the Mig-29 fighter jets' delivery and supply such combat equipment to Kiev. On the sidelines of the Ministerial Council meeting, Kacer discussed cooperation and coordination of joint activities with his partners from the Slavkov Format (S3), his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky and Austrian minister Alexander Schallenberg. ko/mcs
