Caputova Wraps Up Tour of Eastern Slovakia

Trebisov, March 31 (TASR) - President Zuzana Caputova on Friday concluded her week-long visit to eastern Slovakia by stopping in the town of Trebisov, where she met mayor Marek Cizmar and local prominent figures. "The mayor and I talked about what [the people of Trebisov] are facing most frequently. It is, of course, the energy crisis, but there are also issues concerning improving the living conditions of marginalised groups and other recurring issues that I always hear from local governments," the president told the media. During her tour of eastern Slovakia this week, Caputova visited Kosice, Presov, Bardejov, Spis Castle and the village of Kecerovce, apart from Trebisov. In addition, she also received Estonian President Alar Karis in Kosice. "It's been a great pleasure to be here in the east and I am really taking away a lot of insights, interesting views and experiences. What pleases me is that in many cases I saw projects that can serve as a model for the whole of Slovakia," she remarked. zel/mcs
