Interior Ministry Prepares Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine for Winter Months

Bratislava, November 24 (TASR) - The Interior Ministry is preparing humanitarian aid for Ukraine for the winter months, ministry's spokeswoman Zuzana Eliasova told TASR on Thursday, adding that the ministry is procuring power generators, blankets, bed sets and the like. "Humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine not only helps manage crisis situations associated with a lack of commodities, but also creates a prerequisite for better handling a possible wave of emigrants. Many citizens of Ukraine want to stay in its territory, but if they don't have suitable conditions to survive the winter, they'll have nothing left other than moving to safe countries, that include Slovakia," said Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO). am/mcs
