Bratislava, November 24 (TASR) - In addition to the offer for a stabilisation allowance for health-care workers in hospitals, the government will also propose attractive conditions for a recruitment allowance, Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) stated on Thursday, TASR was told by Government Office' press department. The premier welcomes the promise made by representatives of the Medical Trade Union Association to waive the requirements related to doctors' employment contracts. The prime minister further said that the goal of the recruitment allowance is to solve the long-term shortage of medical professionals. He also pointed out that Thursday's call by the Slovak Medical Chamber (SLK), which encourages the LOZ to accept the government's initial offer on doctors' salaries, shows that it was attractive enough. SLK asks the government and the trade unions to accept the latest proposal of the government to increase the coefficients, not the proposal for stabilisation allowances, and to reach an agreement. Following the talks on Thursday, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky (an OLaNO nominee) stated that the ministry reached an agreement with the medical trade unions on seven points of the memorandum, with salaries, which aren't within the purview of the Health Ministry, remaining unresolved. am/mcs
