Premier Heger Receives European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli

Bratislava, September 22 (TASR) - Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) received European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli at the Government Office on Thursday to discuss the issue of Roma communities. Government Proxy for Roma Communities Jan Hero was also present at the meeting. The premier informed the European Commissioner that last year the government approved the Strategy for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma until 2030. "The problems of the Roma community have been neglected for a long time, but despite the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, high energy prices and inflation, our government managed to introduce systemic changes in the field of education for Roma children, and we're slowly achieving results," stated the prime minister. am/mcs
