Bratislava, December 15 (TASR) - Technological sovereignty is one of the EU's current economic policy priorities, Foreign and European Affairs Ministry state secretary Ingrid Brockova stated during a discussion between Slovak and US companies held by AmCham on Wednesday. Brockova talked with the representatives of businesses about challenges and opportunities that technological progress poses for Europe and trans-Atlantic cooperation. "Whether it's private companies or business sector, we need to cooperate and support the technological progress based on openness, shared values and international cooperation, otherwise Europe and Slovakia will lag behind. The restarted trans-Atlantic partnership is an optimal platform to do this," claimed the state secretary. Good examples of Slovakia's cooperation with the United States in the sphere of innovations is a company called InoBat developing batteries for the auto industry, Chirana that produces lung ventilations and Tachyum, the computer chip producer. mf/mcs
