Bratislava, December 2 (TASR) - The coalition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party is filing a criminal complaint against the opposition far-right People’s Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) over billboards on which LSNS claims that COVID-19 vaccines contain cells from human foetuses, SaS MPs Jana Bitto Ciganikova, Alojz Baranik and Jan Bencik reported on Thursday. Bitto Ciganikova said that she finds LSNS’s conduct deplorable, arguing that individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 are helping society. "They [LSNS] either don’t understand the issue and haven’t checked their information or they are very well aware of the fact that they’re lying and of what they are doing to scare people and discourage them from having themselves vaccinated," she remarked. On the billboards, LSNS claims that vaccines against "corona" contain cells from aborted babies. Bitto Ciganikova stressed that this isn’t true. "Vector vaccines contain a live virus that might be reproduced in human cells, but it’s an absolute lie that vaccines contain these cells," she explained. According to Baranik, the aim of the criminal complaint is to examine whether misleading information and information that is capable of causing serious disturbances among the public has been spread. zel/df
