Caputova to MP Taraba: Attack on Politician via Child Marks Political Lowpoint

Bratislava, October 19 (TASR) - Attacking a politician via their children is a political lowpoint, President Zuzana Caputova stated on her Facebook account on Tuesday after Independent MP Tomas Taraba (formerly LSNS) on the same day posted a status about her daughter. “After yesterday, we know that there’s a new top model in Slovakia”, wrote Taraba, attaching a photo of Caputova’s daughter appearing as a model at a fashion show. "MP Taraba would never be interested in my daughter if this weren’t related to my post as president. I have to face wickedness and human stupidity in my life, but leave my children out of this," wrote the president. Meanwhile, the police pointed to cyber-bullying in regards to Taraba’s post. "An individual who should act like a senior authority has decided to hand a teenage girl who isn’t even 18 yet over to the mob for a public lynching. It’s absolutely irrelevant whose daughter it is. This is a shameless attack on a child just for her looks,” remarked the police. In their opinion, this is an example of how callous behaviour on the internet can sink to a level of bullying that could lead to the greatest of human tragedies. zel/df
