Adient to End Production in Trim Leader Plant in Zilina Region

Kostany nad Turcom, August 23 (TASR) - Global automotive supplier Adient has confirmed a plan to end production at the Trim Leader plant in Kostany nad Turcom (Zilina region), TASR learnt from company's media representatives on Monday. The end of production was decided jointly by the company's shareholders, including Adient with a 51-percent share and Toyota Boshoku Europe N.V. The end of production is planned gradually until September 2022, and it will affect all 442 jobs in the plant. In connection with this, the plant management has already started negotiations with employee representatives directly in the company, as well as with the European Works Council. "The talks aim to ensure that the interests of all parties concerned are fully taken into account," the company's representatives assured. Adient is a global leader in the production of automobile seats, employing about 77,000 people at 202 production facilities in 32 countries. am
