President to Attend NATO Summit in Brussels on Monday

Bratislava, June 11 (TASR) - President Zuzana Caputova is set to attend on Monday (June 14) a meeting of the leaders of the NATO member countries that will take place at the NATO headquarters in Brussels. "The Slovak delegation will also include Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok [a Freedom and Solidarity/SaS nominee], Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad [OLaNO] and Slovak Ambassador to NATO Peter Bator," said spokesman for the head of state Martin Strizinec. Strizinec pointed out that the topic of the summit will be to prepare NATO for the changing security environment. "In this context, the leaders should agree on the preparation of a new NATO Strategic Concept and at their joint talks they are expected to adopt new commitments in resilience, cyber defence, climate change and innovation in order to maintain NATO's technological lead," stated Caputova's spokesman. am/mcs
