Bratislava, May 4 (TASR) - Bratislava I Regional Court has received notice of an indictment against controversial entrepreneur Marian K., jailed for fraud, concerning slips of paper that he was allegedly sending out while in custody via his aide Peter Toth, TASR learnt from court spokesman Pavol Adamciak on Tuesday. According to Adamciak, the court will now pass the indictment notice to Marian K. and his lawyer so that they can comment on it and propose proceedings concerning evidence. The overseeing judge will subsequently determine how the case will proceed and set the date for the trial. Peter Toth, a journalist and former top intelligence officer, confessed to smuggling slips of paper for the entrepreneur during questioning at the Specialised Criminal Court concerning the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Marian K. has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for forging promissory notes worth many millions of euros with help of Pavol R. As for the murder of the journalist, the businessman was acquitted of the charges in the case by the Specialised Criminal Court in 2020, but as appeals have been filed against the verdict, the case will be re-examined by the Supreme Court. zel/df
