OLANO Supports Czechs in Diplomatic Moves over Ammo Warehouse Blast

Bratislava, April 19 (TASR) - OLANO, which is the main governing party in Slovakia, has announced that it fully supports the Czech Republic in diplomatic moves and efforts to investigate thoroughly the explosion that took place in an ammunition warehouse in Vrbetice seven years ago with the alleged involvement of Russia's secret services. In response to the incident, the Czech Republic over the weekend announced that it was expelling 18 diplomats from the Russian Embassy in Praque who have been identified as secret agents. If it's confirmed that Russia really was involved in the explosion, it would be an unprecedented attack on the security and sovereignty of an EU-member country, stated OLANO. Parliamentary defence and security committee chairman Juraj Krupa (OLANO) told RTVS that Russia has stepped up the activities of its secret services since 2014, and this fact has been noted by the EU and Slovakia. He doesn't believe that this incident should significantly damage EU-Russia relations, however. bub/df
