Marek Krajci Returns to Parliament as MP for OLaNO

Bratislava, March 13 (TASR) - Ex-health minister Marek Krajci who stepped down on Friday (March 12) is returning to Parliament as a member of the OLaNO parliamentary caucus, TASR learnt from caucus head Michal Sipos on Saturday. The name of a new health minister has not yet been unveiled. Finance Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) was commissioned to take up the post on a temporary basis. Krajci announced his end in office on Thursday (March 11), stating that two junior coalition parties conditioned remaining in the government on his resignation. Prime Minister Igor Matovic (OLaNO) originally announced that Krajci would step down gradually. He also wanted Krajci to leave when the Sputnik V vaccine is launched. Finally, Krajci resigned on Friday (March 12), saying that he didn't want another pretext for overthrowing the government. The coalition leaders were set to announce an agreement on further functioning on Thursday but the crisis continues. Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) is to announce further action on Monday (March 15). am
