Nitra, January 14 (TASR) - The town of Nitra is preparing for the second round of mass testing, which is due to start on Friday (January 15) and continue until Sunday (January 17). A total of 42 testing points will be available to Nitra residents, which is five more than in the first round. The testing points will be open between 3 and 8 a.m. on Friday and between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with the last sample being taken half an hour before the testing point's closure. The Nitra town hall announced that all the testing points are only designed for pedestrians. The Specialised Hospital of Saint Svorad will only test persons older than 16. A free mobile app TrustOne will be deployed at most of the testing points in order to facilitate administration connected with testing and speed up the whole procedure. Towns and villages in the district of Nitra decided to organise the mass testing due to the serious pandemic situation in the whole district. The situation is especially bad in the Nitra Faculty Hospital and in the Specialised Hospital of Saint Svorad that are at the limit of their capacities. Therefore, the curfew in Nitra district has become even more stringent as of January 11. People wanting to go to work or outdoors need negative antigen or RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 not older than seven days. Without a negative test they only can go to the nearest grocery store, pharmacy or drug store. ko/mcs
