Bratislava, December 10 (TASR) - Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) MEP Lucia Duris Nicholsonova has approached the Special Prosecutor's Office with a criminal complaint about money laundering and corruption allegedly concerning former Police Corps president Milan L., who is now in custody facing charges of corruption in a different case, TASR learnt from SaS spokesman Ondrej Sprlak on Thursday. Duris Nicholsonova supplemented an earlier complaint, claiming that she was again approached by a witness concerning the purchase of a property in Florida on Milan L.'s behalf. "I acquired information back in 2018 that Michal Chynoradsky mediated and carried out the purchase of a property in Florida for Milan L. with money that came from foreign accounts," said the MEP, adding that she filed her original complaint against Milan L. during the term of the former government. According to her, one of the people who provided money for the purchase had links with Penta financial group. Duris Nicholsonova believes that the money could originate from criminal activities, such as blackmail or bribes. A copy of Duris Nicholsonova's letter to the Special Prosecutor's Office, acquired by TASR, reads that the witness doesn't trust current National Crime Agency (NAKA) director Branislav Zurian, who's allegedly a good friend of Milan L., which is why he wanted to speak to the Special Prosecutor's Office instead. SaS also reacted to the alleged testimony of former director of Financial Administration's Crime Office Ludovit M. concerning shady links between certain figures from the Smer-SD party, now in opposition, and agricultural subsidies in the past. SaS called on Smer MP Anton Stredak to resign and clarify his alleged ties to charged businessman Norbert B. Stredak, meanwhile, has rejected all accusations. "He's never had any information concerning investigations into agricultural subsidies, as this didn't come under his remit," reads a statement provided to TASR by Smer spokesman Jan Mazgut. bub/df
