Bratislava, October 15 (TASR) - Ivan Chrenko, the founder and majority owner of real estate developer company HB Reavis, has defended his number one place in the Forbes magazine chart of the richest Slovaks with a fortune of €1.65 billion, TASR learnt on Thursday. Jaroslav Hascak of Penta Investments was second with €1.07 billion, ahead of Miroslav Trnka, co-owner of cyber-security company ESET, with €700 million. The other two spots in the top five were also taken by figures from ESET - Peter Pasko and Rudolf Hruby (€670 million each). Meanwhile, Tomas Chrenek from Moravia Steel and Minerfin along with key figure in Mondi SCP paper mill Milan Fila have dropped out of the top five. According to Forbes, the boost given to ESET people was due to record revenues and the high profits gained by the IT company last year, while traditional sectors posted relatively poorer results. The three wealthiest Slovaks expanded their wealth by one tenth compared to the previous year. At the same time, the 32 richest Slovaks had a combined wealth of €11.9 billion - a figure that rose only slightly on the year. All the data in the chart were based on results for 2019, i.e. before the coronavirus pandemic erupted. bub/df
