Voice: Just Terminating Miskovic Not Enough, Inquest into Tenders Needed

22. septembra 2020 20:49
Bratislava, September 22 (TASR) - Opposition's Voice-Social Democracy party perceives Finance Minister Eduard Heger's (OLaNO) decision to terminate collaboration with his advisor Michal Miskovic as inadequate, TASR learnt from party spokesperson Patricia Medved Macikova on Tuesday. Miskovic recently inked lucrative contracts with the state worth more than €800,000. The party plans to lodge a complaint with the Public Procurement Office and Anti-monopoly Authority to make them look into tenders that were won by Miskovic. "Minister Heger has fashioned a fig leaf to cover the fact that Miskovic raked in profits off both the state and municipalities, which are controlled by OLaNO," stated the spokesperson. "The Voice-SD party is convinced that at stake is not the hourly rate of €30 (for Miskovic), but millions of euros extracted from pockets of the taxpayers that were funnelled to this politically-connected lawyer." mf
