Bratislava, September 16 (TASR) - Slovakia will start monitoring foreign direct investments that might threaten security or disturb public order, according to a document to be discussed by the Cabinet at its regular session on Wednesday. A contact point will be created at the Economy Ministry to monitor these investments and cooperate with other EU countries in this area. The Cabinet will also deal with several proposals for providing investment stimuli. One of these concerns a company called BHS-Sonthofen Slovakia, which plans to build a new engineering plant in Haniska industrial park (Presov region). The investment worth almost €7.3 million should create over 50 new jobs in the production of recycling and filtration equipment, contact dryers, mixing equipment for construction materials and crushers for sand production. The firm should receive investment stimuli amounting to €1 million in the form of a tax allowance. Temporary protection against creditors for companies hit by the coronavirus crisis should be extended until the end of this year, according to a proposal submitted to the Government by the Justice Ministry. ko/df
