Bratislava, June 1 (TASR) - Transport Minister Andrej Dolezal (a We Are Family nominee) has appointed Martin Luptak to the post of Board of Directors chairman of the Slovak Post Office on Monday, TASR learnt on the same day. Luptak replaced Peter Helexa, who was also removed from the post of general director. Helexa had headed the Slovak Post Office since July 2018. Luptak will thus simultaneously perform the duties of the general director. This is until the Transport Ministry announces a tender for the new head of the Slovak Post Office. "The management of the Slovak Post Office is a new challenge for me. Not only because it is a company that is one of the largest employers in Slovakia but also for its potential to transform into a modern and efficient European post office. I thank the current management of the Slovak Post Office for their service but also for the successful implementation of new projects and services, which I want to link to," said Luptak. The new director emphasised that he was clear about where the company under his leadership can grow. "The goal is not abstract visions, but bold and specific figures. Therefore, I believe that in the future the Slovak Post Office can reach the level of a company that will be a mirror and model especially for other postal companies in the world and which its employees will be proud of," he added. am/mcs
