Banska Bystrica, January 28 (TASR) - Bus carrier SAD Zvolen announced on Tuesday that it won"t attend the meeting it was supposed to have with the management of Banska Bystrica region Banska Bystrica region (BBSK) on Wednesday. The meeting was meant to resolve the problems with public bus transport in the region. In a letter sent to the BBSK management, SAD stated that it"s ready to discuss the current situation any time, however, only if the meeting isn"t preceded by ultimatums. It pointed to a published interview with a legal representative of BBSK, who claimed that he can see only three possible scenarios for resolving the problem with the suburban bus transport in the region. The roots of the ongoing dispute lie in addenda to the contract between Banska Bystrica region and SAD on extending an agreement on suburban buses. The agreement with the addenda was signed by previous Banska Bystrica governor Marian Kotleba. SAD Zvolen decided to stop operating in nine districts of Banska Bystrica region on Saturday after a court ruled that the addenda, with a duration of five years, are contrary to European law. Such an agreement without public procurement can be concluded only for two years. SAD told BBSK in the end of the letter, that it"s accepted the agreement BBSK offered it on Saturday and that it will operate on all routes according to the agreement as of Wednesday. zel/mcs
