Minister Lajcak Receives Kazakhstan's Designated Ambassador Vasilenko

Bratislava, January 14 (TASR) - Kazakhstan is one of Slovakia's most important partners in Central Asia, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak (a Smer-SD nominee) stated on Tuesday after receiving designated ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovakia Roman Vasilenko on the occasion of handing over copies of his credentials, TASR learnt from the ministry's communications department on the same day. Both representatives positively assessed the current developments of Slovak-Kazakh relations and expressed their support for their all-round intensification, especially in the business and economic areas. Among other things, the minister welcomed Kazakhstan's decision to set up a fully-fledged embassy in Slovakia. The partners also touched on current foreign policy events in the strategically important Central Asia region, as well as in the wider global context. am/mcs
