Presov, December 6 (TASR) - Fire-fighters are continuing to put out flames in the wake of the gas explosion at an apartment block in Presov and found no additional people in flats up to the eighth floor, Fire-fighter and Emergency Presidium reported on its social network post on Friday. Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini has arrived to Presov in the meantime. The fire-fighters also plan to search nearby apartment buildings that might have been hit by a blast wave and are currently without electricity and gas. The fire-fighters can combat the flames only from outdoors, as structural engineers proclaimed the top three floors unstable. The city of Presov unveiled the number of a transparent account, to which people can send contributions to help those affected by the gas explosion. Its number is SK90 7500 0000 0040 0859 1229 and payments must include variable symbol 6122019. The gas explosion claimed at least five lives and left more than 40 injured, reported the Fire-fighter and Emergency Corps Presidium earlier in the day. The explosion took place around noon in one of the flats in a twelve-storey building and there's a danger that the building might collapse. Presov Mayor Andrea Turcanova declared a state of emergency in Presov since 12.35 P.M. mf/mcs
