Matovic: I've Known about Pociatek-Trnka Video for Six Months

Bratislava, November 29 (TASR) - Opposition OLaNO leader Igor Matovic said on Friday that he's known for six months about the existence of a shady video recording from 2009 between then finance minister Jan Pociatek (Smer-SD) and then prosecutor-general Dobroslav Trnka on some major scandals.
The media on Friday published a video with Pociatek and Trnka, with the two apparently discussing the controversial sale of carbon-dioxide emmission quotas and a dispute of the state lottery company Tipos with Cyprus-based company Lemikon, which ended up with Tipos paying €13 million in compensation for allegedly using the latter's know-how.
According to Matovic, if he as an ordinary MP has known about the recording and its approximate controversial content for so long, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) must have known it at least as long, but he hasn't taken any action against Pociatek.
Matovic went on to state that if Pellegrini and his people don't know how to draw up a law allowing confiscation of property from "mafia people" and "corrupted" politicians, such as Pociatek and former interior minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD), all they need is to translate a relevant law in force in Italy.
"If a constitutional majority is needed to support it [in Parliament], we're at your disposal to secure it," said Matovic.
He also called for the introduction of a law allowing any recordings containing evidence of criminal activities to be used as proofs before the courts.
