Bratislava, November 20 (TASR) - OLaNO MP Jaroslav N. (name abbreviated due to legal reasons) stated on Wednesday that he isn"t aware of that he"s committed the crime of endangering classified information, adding that he handed over his mobile phone to the police after he was charged with this crime and that he"ll address the situation on Thursday. Although the MP initially refused to provide more details on the situation, he stated later that he only "asked a question" that wasn"t answered. In his opinion, charging him with endangering classified information is similar to charging a journalist for asking the head of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) how many employees the intelligence service has. He"ll provide more information on Thursday after he"s questioned by the National Crime Agency (NAKA). When asked whether he couldn"t have committed this crime by asking a question, Jaroslav N. stated that he would have to know he"s asking about classified information in the first place. "I"ve learnt that the day I entered politics all available as well as unavailable means were deployed to discredit me," he said, adding that various people have been trying to discredit him for at least a year. He is of the opinion that it might be Military Intelligence head Jan Balciar who could be behind the charges as he pointed out via the media that Balciar owns dozens of immovable properties under mysterious conditions. zel/mcs
