Petit Press Acquires Pardon Newspaper

Bratislava, September 13 (TASR) - Petit Press publishing house, which issues MY weekly, Korzar daily and ECHO in regions, is buying Pardon - the third largest network of mailbox distribution newspapers, Peter Ciglan of Petit Press weeklies division reported on Friday. The weekly circulation of the newspaper, distributed in Trencin, Nitra and Trnava regions is more than 185,000. Pardon has been around on the market for more than 28 years. "I hope that a strong brand such as Pardon will work to reinforce our dominant standing in the regions even more while supplementing our product portfolio," stated Petit Press board of directors member Milan Mokran. Petit Press publishes periodicals in both Slovak and English on the Slovak market, including but not limited to the SME daily, Korzar, MY weekly, TV svet, Profit, Lisiak, the Slovak Spectator bi-weekly and others. In 2014, Petit Press was acquired by the Penta financial group. mf/mcs
