Ersek: I Won't Submit National Air Carrier Project to Government

Bratislava, September 11 (TASR) - The national air carrier project is a loss-making project, Transport and Construction Minister Arpad Ersek (Most-Hid) said on the basis of an analysis he ordered, TASR learnt on Wednesday. "The analysis has shown that this is not a suitable project, so I won't submit it to the Government," said the minister before the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. "The figures obtained from the analysis are binding for me," he said commenting on his decision. Ersek did not want to speculate whether the project could or should be dealt with by the future government. "If I continue to be the minister in the next period, I won't recommend it, if the figures remain as they are now," added Ersek. The idea of a national air carrier was promoted by the junior coalition Slovak National Party (SNS). am/mcs
